An arts enthusiast, Suzanne is thoughtful about her philanthropic decisions. The Nathan L. and Suzanne F. Cohen Philanthropic Fund supports The Associated's Annual Campaign and emergent Jewish issues while the Cohen Opportunity Fund creates access to opportunities in under served communities.

To apply using the online form: 

    1. Select the Scholarship Application button below.
    2. Complete all of the questions on the form.
    3. Submit your most recent high school transcript here.
    4. Submit your official SAT and/or ACT scores here.
    5. Submit your essay here.
    6. Essay instructions: describe your career or educational goals, and how your success might benefit others. Your essay should be between 750 - 1,000 words.

Alice Drayton, IB History Teacher at Annapolis High School had some incredible things to say about Leonardo including:

Leo Acosta is an amazing young man who is going to do great things. One need only glance at his resume to see Leo is a future leader. As an IB student, he has taken the hardest courses our
school offers. He is involved in school clubs and volunteers outside of school. The college that
is lucky enough to land Leo will acquire a student who will give back much more than he
receives.

About Helen Higuera

History: Helen Higuera was a resident of Annapolis and finished first in her graduating class from Archbishop Spalding High School. She earned a B.A. in History from Stanford University and was attending the Georgetown University Law School at the time of her passing. This scholarship was established in her memory to assist students who want to pursue their educational paths and dreams.
